The National Retail Federation projected that holiday sales would grow 6-8% over 2021, but the final tally came in below that level. Ecommerce sales were also shy of their 10-12% growth forecast, with 9.5% growth in actual results. Inflation, interest rates and a longer holiday season were a few of the drivers.
