With new POS, Shopify eyes in-store growth
Buy online pickup in store, lovingly known as BOPIS, allows retailers to offer a measure of convenience and control to shoppers, said Rick Johnson, CEO of ecommerce software engineering firm Kadro. It comes after Shopify’s offline commerce GMV grew 47% year-over-year in the second quarter with more people returning to stores.

BigCommerce launched on Google Cloud Marketplace, providing ecommerce tools for enterprise customers. “B2C and B2B merchants are increasingly seeking out ecommerce solutions that can seamlessly integrate with technologies built for growth at scale,” said Google Cloud managing director for marketplace Dai Vu.
