Brands have a new avenue to get their goods sold at Macy’s. The department store retailer is adding a third-party marketplace as it looks to grow the number of brands and categories available through its ecommerce channels. Curated products will be listed alongside Macy’s existing merchandise, but shipping and fulfillment will be handled by the third-party brands.

It looks like TikTok will bring live shopping to the US, after all. Previous reports indicated the short-form video platform shelved an expansion that was steered by its own team. Now, the FT reports that it will partner with TalkShopLive. That firm is also working with Walmart to find a foothold for the QVC-style sessions.

Supply chain issues continue to show up. Nike ended its most recent quarter with inventory up 65% year-over-year as goods for multiple seasons all arrived at the same time. Heading into the holidays, the bellwether brand is expecting a more “promotional” environment.

Morning Consult recently released its ranking of Gen Z’s favorite brands. YouTube tops the list, while Walmart has gained affection. When it comes to the brands that Gen Z favors far more than millennials, Discord, TikTok, Snapchat, Shein and Crocs are at the top of the list.

Welcome to the holiday quarter. The season hits the ground running this week with Target’s Deal Days event. This week’s earnings calendar is highlighted by Levi’s, Helen of Troy and Conagra Brands, while economic data is focused on jobs. Bonus: For a recap of last week's news, check out our takeaways.
