Glossier goes wholesale with Sephora debut

Mondelēz acquired Clif Bar for $2.9 billion last year. A few months after the deal closed, Mondelēz said Clif is already delivering strong results, even as it raised prices in a move that was rare for the energy bar brand. With a big market opportunity ahead, the integration of Clif Bar into Mondelēz is still ongoing.

Amazon is cutting costs in many areas, but logistics is not one of them. The company is ramping up same-day delivery through a network of warehouses that are designed specifically for fast service. While it is another use of Prime, this speed comes with a fee of $2.99 for orders below $25. – Wall Street Journal

It’s official: Glossier is now available at Sephora. While there is plenty of symbolic weight to a direct-to-consumer darling entering its first wholesale agreement, this move also makes business sense. Glossier was already one of the most-searched brands at Sephora. It’s a reminder for brands about the importance of having a full picture of demand.
