Amazon's latest FBA changes: Storage limits
Sellers who use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) will have a new capacity management system for inventory limits starting on March 1. This will reduce two limits to a single, monthly ceiling measured in cubic feet. Plus, Amazon will provide forecasting and the ability to request more space. The result will be more space for most sellers, and the ability to better plan for their needs.
Millennials and Gen Z accounted for all of the growth in luxury spending over the last year, according to Bain & Co. It’s a sign that luxury shoppers are younger, and they are also willing to shell out for designer items, as spend in this cohort will grow 3x faster than the older generation. It is all fueled along by social media, where consumers discover the aspirational goods. – CNBC

DoorDash is adding more coffee service, with Starbucks set to be available for delivery in all 50 states following a vast expansion this quarter. It’s another sign that aggregator apps like DoorDash are expanding well beyond the meal delivery where they started. – Reuters
In December 2022, U.S. retail sales grew 6% from December 2021, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. While sales continued to grow, the expansion is slowing down, said GlobalData Managing Director Neil Saunders. It’s a sign that 2023 will be a more difficult year in retail.
