On Wednesday morning, thousands of Amazon shoppers saw error messages as they tried to check out, with the marketplace reporting “unusually heavy traffic” in the midst of the holiday shopping season. The outage peaked at 9:07 a.m. EST, with a resolution reported at 11:44 a.m. ET. Sellers reported a huge dip in sales during those hours. – Digital Commerce 360
The latest consumer trends survey from Jungle Scout shows that people are looking to trim holiday budgets this year, while social media is becoming a more prominent form of discovery. Heading into 2023, many people are planning to review their finances at a time of potential economic slowdown, but they are still planning to indulge, prudently.
