This holiday shopping season started early, but it is also expected to see a late push as consumers hold out for deals. This weekend, the National Retail Federation expects 158 million shoppers on Super Saturday, which would be the highest since it began tracking late season traffic. Meanwhile, Amazon is touting its latest bargain event for the last-minute set: Very Merry Deals runs through Dec. 21.

Instacart compiled a list of 75 up-and-coming CPG brands that posted the highest sales velocity growth over the last year on its marketplace. Alongside buzzy brands like Liquid Death, Poppi and Truff, there are plenty of others to discover, and learn from.
In October, grocery ecommerce sales were down 3% for the year, and flat from the previous month, according to the latest Brick Meets Click/Mercatus Grocery Shopping Survey. The active user base for mass retail grew faster than grocery. This may be due to inflation, but shopping experience is also an important factor, says David Bishop of Brick Meets Click. – Chain Store Age
